Privacy Policy
This policy explains how personal data is processed. Where applicable, we align with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/revDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Processing when visiting the website
When the website is accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data in server log files (e.g. IP address in shortened/temporary form, date and time, page requested, browser type). This serves the secure and stable operation of the service. We use no tracking or analytics cookies and no profiling services. Technically necessary local storage (e.g. language selection) remains in your browser.
3. Directory registration
If you request a directory listing, we process the data you provide (e.g. association name, contact details, contact person) for the purpose of adding and maintaining the directory. Processing is based on your consent or on the relationship associated with the listing.
4. Processors / hosting
To provide the service we use carefully selected providers:
- Hosting: Vercel Inc. (USA) – delivery of the website.
- Database: Baserow (Baserow GmbH, Germany) – storage of directory, software and news content.
- Payments (only for paid features): the providers named at checkout (e.g. Stripe, TWINT).
Where data is transferred to countries outside Switzerland/the EU, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses).
5. Retention
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes or required by law, and is then deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. To exercise these rights, a message to software@kiero.ch is sufficient. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Switzerland: the FDPIC; in the EU: the relevant data protection authority).
7. Changes
This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes in the law or in the features of the service. The version published on this page applies.
